Mr. Awad has served on the Board of Directors of both
public and private companies, where he has experience as both a Chairman
and member of such Board committees as Audit, Governance, Compensation,
Nomination, and Reserves Committees. Previous to his founding of ThreeG,
he served as Executive Vice President of Unocal International Energy
Ventures, Ltd., a unit of one of the largest independent petroleum
companies, Unocal Corporation, where he lead multi-disciplinary teams developing large oil, gas, pipeline, and pwer projects outside North America. He has also served as Vice
President of Global Development for Fluor Corporation, one of the
largest public engineering-construction companies, where he was
responsible for creating new businesses via equity investments,
strategic partnering and deal structuring. He has an MBA from the
University of Chicago in both economics and finance and a BA in
Economics with Honors from Claremont McKenna College.

Mr. Awad serves on the Board of
Directors of EHD Technology Group, Inc., a company focused on
removing nanoscale contaminants from high-value subassemblies and is a
Board member of the Pasadena Angels, an early stage venture capital
organization which invests in companies in the Southern California
area. He serves on the Advisory Boards of Mamey Investment Corporation, a commercial real estate investment firm, and Thermata, a supplier of solar generated heat for industrial and petroleum production processes. He also served as Lead Director on the Board of
Directors of Centurion Energy International, an energy company with
operations in North and West Africa, which was sold in early 2007
for over $950 million to a Middle East based oil and gas company, and as a Board member of Metamatrix Corporation, which was sold to Redhat in 2008. |
